PENERAPAN METODE COOPERATIVE INTEGRATED READING AND COMPOSITION UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MENEMUKAN GAGASAN UTAMA MELALUI KEGIATAN MEMBACA INTENSIF DENGAN MEDIA WACANA PADA SISWA KELAS XID SMP WISATA SANUR TAHUN 2013/2014

Based on observations and interviews with teachers in junior high Indonesian speaker in the Sanur Tourism earn that achievement of learning Indonesian is still very low, with an average of 59.35, 59.35% absorption and mastery learning is only 55.26%. This shows that learning achievement Indonesian students can not meet the demands of the curriculum with an average grade of at least 60, 60% and absorption of at least 75% mastery learning. Based on the results of observations made, it was found that the learning process is still dominated by the teacher, still using the traditional method of teaching that is teacher explaining the material, giving example problems and continue to exercise less soal.sedangkan students given the opportunity to discover the concepts learned. Students just sit, listen, take notes, memorize the material presented and do the problems given .Moreover less students in the habit of working in groups so that students are less accustomed to discussing with lainnya.siswa students who do not have the courage to ask for the student to ask to have the notion that students who asks is a fool students. In addition, in an opinion viding students embarrassed and afraid the answer is wrong. Teachers also rarely give awards to students as reinforcement when students can solve problems that result in this berikan.Hal intraksi students in the learning process is still low, either intraksi or cooperation between students and students and teachers. The above situation is thought to result in low student activities that cause further impact the low achievement in the class in question.
Formulation of the problem which will be discussed in this study is whether the CIRC method can improve the learning ability in determining the main idea through intensive reading activities with students and media discourse on how the steps in determining the application of the method CIRC main idea through intensive reading activities with the media discourse on students. The scope of this research is the application of methods of cooperative integrated reading and composition to improve the ability of finding the main idea through intensive Nreading activities with the media discourse on IXD junior class students Sanur Tourism 2013/2014 Academic Year.
This research was conducted with the aim to improve reading comprehension ability through methods Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) and to obtain objective data for learning CIRC can determine the main idea through intensive reading activities with the mediadiscourse on IXD junior class students Holidays Sanur. The variables were subjected to a change in classroom action research is to determine the main idea through intensive reading ,activities with the media discourse, while the action variables used in this study is the method of Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC). The scope of this research is the application of methods of cooperative integrated reading and composition to improve the ability of finding the main idea through intensive reading activities with the media discourse on IXD junior class students Sanur Tourism 2013/2014 Academic Year.
This research is a form of action research as much as 3 cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely: planning, action, observation, and reflection. As the sample is IXD junior grade students Travel Sanur totaling 40 children. Data collection methods used method of observation, tests, interviews, and documentation. Methods of data analysis is the method of interactive data analysis.
The form of the method of research activities carried out in the form of a class action (PTK) classroom action research evolved from the action. The main characteristic of action research is the existence of a particular intervention or treatment for improvement of performance in the real world. Classroom action research (CAR) is: a form of research that is reflection by performing certain actions in order to be a professional (Sanjaya, 2009: 24).
Based on the results of this study concluded that learning Indonesian through CIRC method can improve the ability to find the main idea through intensive reading activities with the media discourse of the students. In the initial conditions prior to implementation measures the average value of 4.5 with the percentage of students classical completeness by 2.56%, the first cycle of the average value of the percentage 5,6dengan class classical completeness by 5.65%, and the second cycle the average value class with a 6.9 percentage classical completeness by 2.76%, the third cycle students’ average score increased to 8.0 with a percentage of 12.5%.
Based on the results of research that has been carried out otherwise it has C R I C method. Thus, it is proposed a recommendation that the Indonesian languge learning by using Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) can improve reading comprehension in grade junior IXD Sanur Tourism 2013/2014 academic year.
