ABSTACT

 

As a region that has been designated by UNESCO as a world  Cultural Heritage area (WBD), DAS Pakerisan watershed is an area that is unique to the beauty of the rice fields, the presence of cultural heritage sites and traditional settlements that are around basin Pakerisan. But along with the time change society Pakerisan DAS that was originally engaged in the agricultural sector, gradually has changed the dynamics of the economy, from agriculture to non-agricultural sectors. This study was conducted using descriptive analysis of 90 respondents were selected at random. The results of this study concluded that he majority of respondents give the perception that the dynamics of economic development in the communities along the watershed areas Pakerisan is : the majority of people still rely on agriculture as a source of livelihood, the agricultural sector is not the leading sectors in employment in the future, job opportunities in the agricultural sector tends to decrease, the younger generation is not interested in working in the agricultural sector, the younger generation is more interested plunge in industry, trade and service, the government and as enterpreneur or self-employed. The public has a positive perception of the effect of the economic development of the carrying capacity of the environment, among others : the development of industry, trade, service and government has an influence on decreasing the rice field area, has the potential to contaminate surface water/river, land and air, affect the carrying capacity of resilience food, negatively affect the environment surrounding villages, the lid small bussiness community as well as limited availability of raw materials and skilled labor.
